Celebrating Ten Years of Remarkable Love On this cherished October 28th, my love and I mark a decade together, beginning with our first kiss on a magical late afternoon. To honor this milestone, we've escaped to an exotic Thai island paradise, surrounding ourselves in beauty. Therefore, today's Daily Dose of Bliss turns its gaze inward to the wonders of love - for ourselves and others. As we indulge in much needed "us-time" on sparkling shores, I'm sharing a love poem to inspire your own self-reflection. May you pause to appreciate relationships that nourish you. Contemplate the many forms affection takes. However this poem resonates, may it be a lens to focus on love's joyful presence always within reach. Receive this as my gift on our anniversary - a reminder that love, once planted, only grows taller and stronger when nurtured with care. There are wounded places within us all that yearn for a salve we cannot name.
We seek in vain to fill the hollowness through chasing worldly forms of success and pleasure, not realizing the emptiness stems from places untouched by love's mercy.
But when we are truly seen, embraced, and accepted as we are by love's graceful gaze, the deepest recesses of shame and inadequacy start to dissolve.
Love's pure light illuminates our darkness and recasts it as wisdom.
For in love we allow others' divinity and sacredness.
We choose to dwell in possibility instead of judgment.
As our eyes open, we see even our detractors as teachers on the path, not enemies.
For hasn't hatred ravaged the world long enough?
Love offers profound freedom through forgiveness.
Of others, but most importantly, of ourselves.
It gently washes the clinging residue of guilt and regret until we stand renewed, eager again for joy's tending.
I assure you - if you would only release past pain and silence destructive inner voices, you would find yourself incandescent once more.
For love patiently awaits our surrender to its infinite embrace.
Keep faith through seasons of drought and neglect.
The wellspring of love arises within when you are ready.
And you will befriend even loneliest aspects of yourself with compassion.
For love redeems and lifts all it touches.
Its golden light rewrites the darkness.
This is love's immeasurable gift, if we but open our heart's shuttered windows to receive it.
